Secretary of State Diego Morales reminds eligible Hoosiers to GO VOTE

INDIANA – Today is Primary Election Day.  Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales reminds Hoosiers to GET OUT and VOTE!

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time.  A valid photo ID is required to vote. Voters in line when the polls close should stay in that line.  You will still be allowed to vote.

Hoosiers can check their voting status, find polling locations, and see a sample ballot at IndianaVoters.com.

“I’m putting a call out to all eligible Hoosiers to make a difference and get out and vote.  For months, we’ve been preparing and encouraging you to get to the polls. Now is the time to make your plan.  Remind your family, friends, and neighbors to go vote,” said Diego Morales, Indiana Secretary of State.

As a safety reminder, Hoosiers should be weather-aware. The Indiana Secretary of State’s Office has emergency management resources organized and plans in place for weather or other emergencies.

Though Election Day is a state holiday, the Secretary of State’s Office and the Election Division are open to assist election workers and voters.

Secretary Morales plans to hit the road early this morning, traveling across Indiana to thank election administrators and volunteers. Tippecanoe County and Clinton County are among his first stops on Primary Election Day. He will also vote in Marion County.

Hoosiers can text ‘IN’ to 45995 to report an issue at a polling site, need information about voting locations/hours, or have questions about election security. Hoosiers can also call 866.IN1.VOTE (866-461-8683). Staff will answer calls from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and 6:00 a.m. until 7 p.m. (Indianapolis time) on Primary Election Day.
