BEDFORD—Every year, the Senior Fair, presented by Vertical Home Health, offers something new. At the 2024 event, the ghost has left Graceland, and The King will rock the house once again. DJ Watson is a tribute act to the late singer and will perform at the Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in Bedford for this year’s Senior Fair, hosted by Southern Indiana’s Classic Hits 105.5, 102.5 LiteFm, and 1340 WBIW on May 22.
A local who grew up “doing a lot of singing to records and karaoke,” according to Watson, his voice was a natural fit to sing Elvis’ music. Although his stage act mimics that of Elvis, don’t call him an impersonator. “I don’t want to be an imitator. I am paying tribute to a role model and great inspiration to many,” he added. He has been doing his tribute for three years.
While the show is going on, expect plenty of Elvis’ energy and enjoy the music and moves that made him a legend. This will be a great spectacle for all to enjoy, and you can see it for free at the Senior Fair, presented by Vertical Home Health, on May 22 from 11 a.m. -1 p.m.
