Police arrested 22-year-old Sebastian Harp on charges of possession of meth and obstruction of justice.

When he noticed the vehicle, Deputy Trueblood was parked at Hoosier Avenue and 7th Street. He initiated a traffic stop at 7th and Oak Streets.

Deputy Trueblood said the driver was nervous and sweating and would not make eye contact.

When asked if there were any drugs in the vehicle, he replied, “No, I don’t do anything.” Deputy Trueblood asked to search the car, and the driver said, “There’s nothing in my vehicle.”

Deputy Trueblood informed the male driver that it was a yes-or-no question. He consented to the search.

Captain Harrison Fleetwood, who assisted, asked Harp’s two passengers, one being Sebastian Harp, to leave the vehicle.

Deputy Andrew Tillet then arrived to help with the search. He found a digital scale and a baggie containing crystal meth.

The driver told police the two males were near his house and offered to pay him $20 for a ride. So the driver obliged. He told police he didn’t know the males or anything about them.

In Harp’s pocket, police found a baggie of crystal meth. Harp then told police he had another baggy of crystal meth in his pants. In total, police seized six grams of meth.

Harp told police he was going to sell two eight balls of meth for $100. An eight-ball is 3.5 grams of meth. After selling the eight balls, he was going to purchase more $230 worth of meth. He also admitted to attempting to eat one of the baggies of meth.

The driver and passenger were released. Harp was transported to jail.
