BEDFORD – On Tuesday, May 21, the Bedford Parks Department held their monthly meeting. Members Jimmy Jones, Trevor Ryders, Jo Underwood, Tracy Bailey, Larry Arnold, and Amber McIntyre were in attendance.
The board voted to not have pool passes this year, which is consistent with what they have done since the COVID-19 pandemic. They made this motion after the board was made aware that the pool would be understaffed, with 13 lifeguards requesting the same 6-day period off.
The board also voted to refund driving course pass holders a two-month refund for when the course was shut down. “We renovated the driving range in the fall of last year, so the people that bought range passes basically lost two months of the range because it was under renovation, so we’re reimbursing them for the two months they lost. If you average it out, it’s $11.50 per month for the year, so we reimbursed them $25 and they’ll get 5 free buckets of balls,” Park Director Jimmy Jones told WBIW.
The board was also notified the new Otis Park website will be live within the coming days. The domain is www.otisparkgolfcourse.com.
