MITCHELL—The Mitchell High School Cheer team has been growing fast. In just a couple of years, it has grown from 5 to 16 girls, which has required new equipment and uniforms. To raise funds for the squad, the girls hosted their 2nd annual car wash, and this year, they brought a little bit more to the table in the form of face painting, a bake sale, and some local food trucks. The event occurred in Mitchell’s Wilkins Way parking lot on Saturday, June 8. “This event will help us grow our sport,” said Aaliyah Tincher, a junior at MHS and second-year cheerleader,” it will help us buy new mats, uniforms, and signs,” she added.
The MHS Cheer Team wanted to thank the community for their support and all involved in hosting this event.
