Hoosier Hills Food Banks report 36,000 pounds of food was collected in Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

BEDFORD – Immense appreciation to everyone who donated to the recent NALC Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Hoosier Hills Food Bank reported that more than 36,000 pounds of food—the equivalent of about 30,149 meals—were contributed.

The Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is the nation’s largest single-day food drive and an easy way to make a difference in their community.

On Saturday, May 11, 2024, rain or shine, letter carriers and volunteers collected bags of healthy, non-perishable donated food that people left out by their mailboxes. Donations are sorted and taken to local food pantries to feed hungry Hoosiers.
