The event promises fun on the course, with a games package available for $15 per individual or $50 per team. Lunch will include grilled marinated turkey strips, potato salad or chips, baked beans, and hot dogs. Additional guests can join for lunch at $10 per person.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Daviess Community Hospital Foundation. This year, proceeds from the event will go towards the renovation of the Emergency Department.
Since 1993, the Annual Daviess Community Hospital Foundation Golf Benefit has raised funds to support numerous projects, including the Health Careers Scholarship Program, the Lohano Center for Advanced Medicine specialty service expansion, 3D mammography, and many other patient-focused projects.
The sponsors and individual players are vital to raising funds for hospital projects, but the event would not be possible without the volunteers. Volunteers have included those who have benefited from past projects, including scholarship recipients, healthcare professionals from DCH Wound Care, and several DCH employees. Tents on the course provided information about the hospital, fun games, and refreshments for the golfers.
