MARTINSVILLE – Following a nearly nine-month-long investigation, Detectives from the Indiana State Police Bloomington Post arrested a Martinsville man on Tuesday, July 2, for possession of child pornography.
Detective Kent Rohfling initiated the investigation after receiving a cybertip report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in October 2023. During the investigation, Detective Rohfling identified the suspect as Adam R. Anderson, 42, of Martinsville. In January 2024, search warrants concerning the investigation included Anderson’s residence. During the search of the residence, digital devices were located and seized. Forensic examiners of the Indiana State Police’s Digital Forensics Unit conducted examinations on the seized devices, and evidence of child pornography was located on a seized cell phone. Detective Robert Whyte of the Indiana State Police’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and ICAC Task Force assisted with the investigation.
Detective Rohfling requested an arrest warrant for Anderson, and he was arrested without incident. Anderson was transported to the Morgan County Jail, where his custody was transferred. He was arrested on five counts of possession of child pornography, a Level 6 felony.
