BRAZIL- A Brazil, Indiana man charged with murder has taken a plea deal.
Jon McGuff pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter charges this past Friday. He had been set to stand trial on murder charges beginning today.
McGuff had been charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of 48-year-old William Matherly.
Police say Matherly had been shot several times last May.
McGuff still has felony charges pending in Putnam County. He’ll be sentenced in Clay County on August 21.
