Indiana State Police investigation leads to arrest of Attica woman

WARREN COUNTY– Friday evening, detectives from the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post concluded an investigation by arresting Rhonda Wade, 51, of Attica.

The investigation began in April after the State Police were contacted concerning missing funds from HC’s Garage payroll account in Williamsport. The funds were discovered missing during a third-party accountant’s review of HC’s financials.

Throughout the investigation, detectives uncovered evidence suggesting that Wade, a previous employee of HC’s, had written unauthorized checks and deposited them into her personal accounts. The investigation revealed over $50,000 in unauthorized transactions dating from 2022 to 2024.

After a comprehensive investigation, detectives submitted their findings to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office. Following a review, a warrant was issued for Wade’s arrest. Yesterday evening, detectives and troopers from the Lafayette Post located Wade and safely took her into custody. She was transported to the Warren County Jail.

Arrested and charges that appear on the warrant:

– Rhonda Wade, 51, of Attica

 1. Theft over $50,000 – Level 5 Felony

Detectives were assisted by other troopers from the Lafayette Post and the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.
