BLOOMINGTON – It has been six months since the tragic death of 37-year-old Jade Sanders, whose body was found in a roadside ditch on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
Sanders, identified as experiencing homelessness at the time, was discovered by a motorist who spotted her in the brush on the west side of the 3200 block of South Walnut Street Pike.
A January 31, 2024 autopsy revealed Sanders had “numerous injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle,” Bloomington police said.
Investigators believe a vehicle struck Sanders on the evening of Saturday, January 27th, near the location where she was found.
They are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or interacted with the vehicle’s occupants to come forward.
The Bloomington Police Department asks anyone with seemingly insignificant details to contact Detective Chris Scott at 812-349-3382.
Even small pieces of information can be vital in solving this case and bringing closure to Jade Sanders’ family and friends.
