BEDFORD— On Tuesday morning, Auditor Paula Stewart updated the commissioners on the duties of Espy Services for a Telecom Expense Review.
The company finds errors and overcharges in bills.
“They are doing more than just looking at all the phone bills,” said Stewart. “They will be inventorying the entire county phone and alarm systems. The goal is to save the county some money.”
According to Commissioner President Wally Branham, the fee is 50 percent.
“If they find a dollar, they take 50 cents, and we get 50 cents,” he added. “If they find no problems, there is no fee due to Espy Services.”
