PATOKA – A Patoka man was tased after he ran from Gibson County Sheriff’s Department deputies attempting to arrest him on an outstanding warrant.
Deputies and Princeton Police officers were serving a warrant at a home on West Vine Street in Patoka, Indiana, shortly after 6:30 p.m.
Police were looking for 24-year-old Colton Linxweiler.
Police surrounded his home and then spotted LInxweiler running from the house. Deputies gave chase and attempted to use a TASER to get him to stop resisting.
Police found Linxweiler with meth and marijuana in his pockets.
Linxweiler was booked into the Gibson County Jail on charges of resisting law enforcement, fleeing, and possession of meth and marijuana.
Linxweiler was wanted on several previous charges, including criminal recklessness, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, and resisting law enforcement.
