DUBOIS CO.— Visit Dubois County is seeking 16 artists to represent the county as part of its “Dubois County Elevated Wayfinding, Artistic Branding” project.
Organizers say they will install 19 wayfinding signs in the Jasper, Huntingburg, and Ferdinand areas.
While three signs will be at traffic lights, officials say 16 will have a backside for cross-traffic and pedestrian viewing.
The county is looking for 16 talented professional artists to paint the back panels.
Officials say the idea of the project is to:
- Create an elevated brand experience
- Assist visitors through navigational ques,
- Build awareness of amenities to visitors
- Enhance experiences through the expression of art
- Solidify the worthiness of Dubois County as a destination.
If selected, each artist would be compensated $1,000 for their completed art panel.
