SEYMOUR – Bedford North Lawrence carded wins over Seymour and Jennings County during girls high school golf action on the front nine at Shadowood on Tuesday.
The No.18 Stars posted a team total of 168 to conquer the Owls (198) and Panthers (225).
Ellie Horton paced BNL with a 4-over 40 to earn medalist honors. She made seven pars but suffered a triple-bogey glitch on the seventh hole. Emma Endris (birdie on 4) and Kinleigh Root (birdie on 1) added 42s. Sammie Nusbaum capped the scoring with 44.
“Not the best performance,” BNL assistant coach Carly Stigall said. “Ellie and both Emmas (including Emma Voris) played pretty solid and stayed locked in. A few girls have been battling their swings recently and haven’t gotten them dialed in yet, but we have some practices coming up to help them gain more confidence before we play again.”
Shana Spray paced Seymour with 43.
The Stars will compete in the Eastern Greene Invitational at Stonecrest on Saturday.
