MITCHELL—Southern Indiana’s Classic Hits 105.5 and 102.5 Litefm are once again teaming up to host the exciting Persimmon Idol competition, a local talent showdown in which aspiring singers from all over the area compete for the title of the next big star. Contestants will showcase their vocal talents on the main stage of the Persimmon Festival on September 23 in front of a live audience and a panel of judges, with the winner gaining local fame and incredible prizes!
Warm up those vocal cords and tune your guitar because auditions to be the next Persimmon Idol are right around the corner! Preliminary round auditions will take place on Friday, September 13th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mitchell High School Auditorium, 1000 W Bishop Blvd. Auditions have a closed-door policy; no friends or family members will be allowed into the audition room.
This year’s contest will feature two age divisions: Youth (10-17) and Adult (18 and up).
The chosen finalists will perform on the Main Street Stage in Mitchell on Monday, September 23rd, at 7:30 p.m.
