Pro Bono Indiana’s SINPALL Legal Clinic wants to help those who need it most

BEDFORDFinding reliable, affordable legal advice can be a challenge. Pro Bono Indiana wants to alleviate those worries for residents 50 and older.

On September 7, they will hold a SINPALL Civil Legal Clinic to provide the community with legal advice on many topics, including housing issues, protective orders, tax, bankruptcy, debt, wills, power of attorney, and more. The event will take place at Stonegate Arts and Education Center from 9 am to 4 pm.

“We are looking to help those in need, especially those with abuse in their past,” said Diane Walker, Managing Attorney for Pro Bono Indiana of Bloomington. Pro Bono Indiana operates through 11 individual pro bono districts across Indiana. Each district offers programs for the attorneys practicing in its local area, as well as some state-wide programming.

During the seven-hour clinic, residents will have the chance to receive legal counsel from one of three attorneys present. “The focus of the clinic is to serve those who have been victims of abuse and low-income residents, but there are no financial qualifications. Everyone is welcome,” Walker added.
