GALENA – Floyd Central blasted to a three-set sweep of Bedford North Lawrence during high school volleyball action on Thursday night.
The Highlanders, ranked No.8 in Class 4A, posted a 25-9, 25-11, 25-14 triumph while improving to 6-3 overall (3-0 in the Hoosier Hills Conference).
“Needless to say, Floyd was very good,” BNL coach Aaron Wagoner said. “They were very senior heavy with an excellent setter. Everyone could hit. The girls got a glimpse of what they have to work toward.”
Sammie Gratzer had 6 kills while Isabella Root added 3 kills and 2 blocks for the Stars.
BNL (7-3, 0-2 in the HHC) will seek to end its three-game losing streak when it visits New Albany on Tuesday.
