COLUMBUS – Columbus East scored three late goals to conquer Bedford North Lawrence 3-0 during girls high school soccer action on Tuesday.
The Olympians (1-6) recorded all three goals in the final two minutes. Sophie Glick tallied twice and Cadence Zeser added the other score for East (1-0 in the Hoosier Hills Conference).
“Despite the score, we played with them the whole game and had a lot of offensive opportunities,” BNL coach Bret Roberts said. “It was a pretty evenly-matched game. We did not have to play a lot of defense, but when we did we made some mistakes that led to the three goals.”
The Stars (1-6 overall, 0-3 in the league) will host Jennings County on Thursday.
