SEYMOUR – Adriano Sullivan played the distributor role to perfection as Bedford North Lawrence rolled past Trinity Lutheran 5-0 during boys high school soccer action on Saturday.
Sullivan scored once and dished out three assists, while Frank Decker came back from a recent injury to tally two goals.
“We dominated the game,” BNL coach Ryan Otis said. “We had them outmatched athletically and physically. We were able to work on some possession and through balls.”
Decker converted a Sullivan corner kick for the first goal at 30:16 in the first half. Sullivan set up J.D. Russell for the second at 27:15, and Sullivan did his own damage with a goal at 3:22.
In the second half, freshman Weston Holtz found the net at 19:31, and Decker capped the scoring (off another Sullivan pass) at 6:23.
“We need to improve finishing,” Otis said. “We were missing some guys on the back line. I’m proud of them for keeping the shutout.”
The Stars (5-4) will journey to Edgewood on Monday.
