LAWRENCE COUNTY—The free Introduction to Local Jobs and Skills (ILJAS) program was created in 2020 and has continued to receive tremendous support from employers, the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s office, Community Corrections, and Probation. At the end of the program, each participant has a next-step plan that may include obtaining a high school equivalency, employment, better employment, additional skills training, internships, or even college.
This year’s event will begin on October 28 and continue at the North Lawrence Career Center over the next three weeks. It will cover a wide range of topics tailored to helping participants flourish professionally.
