Robert ‘Bob’ Earl Karr, 72, of Mitchell, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024, at his residence.
He was born December 14, 1951, in Mitchell, the son of James Edward and Violet Mae (Cooper) Karr.
Bob graduated from Mitchell High School. He owned Middle Bar for several years and later worked at Jack’s Lounge. His grandchildren were his greatest joy, and in his final years, he had the company of his beloved dog, Rainey. Bob was a member of the First Christian Church in Mitchell.
Surviving are his daughter, Mackenzie (Anthony) Reeve of Mitchell; grandchildren, Parker Jo Reeve and Harleigh Raine Reeve; siblings, Jimmy (Reedie) Karr of Mitchell and Connie Williams of Mitchell; sister-in-law, Shirley Karr of Camby; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, brother, Danny Jo Karr, and brother-in-law, Jim Williams, preceded him in death.
The graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26, at Mitchell Cemetery. Pastor Dwight Dunbar will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Hoosier Uplands, nurse Keri, and caregiver Jennifer. Bob also had some very dear friends who were more like family, and they will never know how much their love and support have meant to both Bob and the family.
