BEDFORD—Bedford residents and commuters are advised of upcoming traffic disruptions due to essential infrastructure work on I Street. Installing a sanitary sewer line will result in limited access and detours for approximately one week.

• Location: I Street north of 12th Street at the old railroad crossing
• Duration: Tuesday, September 24th at 7 a.m. until Tuesday, October 1st at 4 p.m. (approximately)
• Type of Work: Installation of a sanitary sewer line

Authorities strongly recommend that drivers avoid the area if possible and seek alternate routes due to construction activities and expected congestion.

Important Notes for Travelers:

1. General Traffic: All travelers are requested to be patient. Those who must pass through the area are urged to be cautious and aware of heavy equipment and workers.
2. Semi-Trucks: Semi-truck drivers are advised to avoid the area unless accessing specific businesses: Mullis Petroleum, Standish Feed Store, Indiana Steel, or Metal Source (formerly Bedford Recycling).
3. Community Care Center: The center will maintain regular operating hours, but parking will be restricted to the north side of the building only.
4. Local Businesses: All businesses from 15th Street past 12th Street on I Street will remain open throughout construction.
