BEDFORD—Emergency Management Director Valerie Luchauer told the Commissioners Tuesday morning that thanks to the recent rain storms, the burn ban will be lifted at Noon on Wednesday.
A mock hazardous material exercise was held on Saturday, September 14, in Oolitic.
“It was a huge success, and we learned a lot,” she added. “We had fire, police, EMS, town officials, and junior firefighters and children participate.”
She also thanks Smokin Jim’s BBQ and Steakhouse for feeding the Bedford Fire Department lunch after battling the fire at the Elk’s Lodge on Friday, September 20.
