ORLEANS – The Orleans Town Council has announced that today, until October 5, is designated the “Fall Town-Wide Clean Sweep.”
The council is encouraging all residents to participate in the clean-up efforts in preparation for the fall and winter months. During this period, town crews will collect large discarded items for free.
Residents are reminded to place these items curbside for easy pickup no later than Thursday, October 3rd.
Additionally, a large dumpster will be available at the Orleans Town Garage for residents to dispose of unwanted or junk items.
The Orleans Chamber of Commerce is also joining the initiative and is seeking the community’s support in beautifying the town. They are encouraging both business owners and residents to participate by cleaning, sprucing up, and decorating storefronts, porches, and lawns with mums, scarecrows, pumpkins, and more in preparation for the Annual Fall Fun Fest in the Park downtown on October 12th.
For more information about the “Fall Clean Sweep” or to arrange to pick up items, contact the Orleans Town Offices at 812-865-2539 or visit the town’s website at www.town.orleans.in.us.
