ELLETTSVILLE – Bedford North Lawrence and Edgewood battled to a 0-0 deadlock during girls high school soccer action on Monday.
The Stars pushed their record to 3-9-1. The Mustangs are now 12-1-1.
“In the first half, we kept control of the ball enough to have some scoring opportunities,” BNL coach Bret Roberts said. “We kept our composure and held off a team with a very good record. I don’t think they were expecting this result.
“Rachael Barr had an incredible save in the goal off of a free kick right outside the box. They had several shots on us the last 10 minutes of the game and were pushing hard toward our goal, but we were able to hold them off. Even though we didn’t win, I am happy with the result.”
BNL will host Austin on Wednesday.
