EASTERN HEIGHTS – Bedford North Lawrence conquered Eastern Greene in four sets during high school volleyball action on Monday night.
After dropping the opening set, the Stars posted a 23-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-19 triumph. BNL improved to 11-7 with its fourth win in the last five matches, while the Thunderbirds slipped to 8-14 with their fourth straight setback.
Sammie Gratzer had 18 kills, 3 blocks and 2 aces, Jenna Allen totaled 11 kills, Isabella Root added 4 kills and 3 block, and Jayden Allen had 4 kills and 3 aces for the Stars.
“Our passing was excellent,” BNL coach Aaron Wagoner said. “We started slow, as usual, but bounced back after the first set. Every set is a fight, but fortunately the girls were ready to fight.”
BNL will host Columbus North on Tuesday.
