INDIANA— McDonald’s fans in Indiana, Southwest Michigan, and Southeast Illinois have a chance to support their local high school athletic programs.
On October 2, McDonald’s Owners and operators will raise money through a digital fundraiser. All day long, 10 percent of all sales made on the McDonald’s mobile app will be donated to local high schools, benefiting 177 schools throughout the region.
Local schools benefiting are:
- Bedford North Lawrence High School in Bedford
- Bloomington High School North in Bloomington
- Bloomington High School South in Bloomington
- Brownstown Central High School in Brownstown
- Columbus East High School in Columbus
- Columbus North High School in Columbus
- Edgewood High School in Bloomington
- Edinburgh Community High School in Edinburgh
- Linton-Stockton High School in Linton
- Martinsville High School in Martinsville
- Seymour Senior High School in Seymour
- Trinity Lutheran High School in Seymour
Each locally owned McDonald’s restaurant has chosen a high school in their community to donate 10 percent of all digital sales on October 2. Each identified high school will receive a minimum of $250.
This year marks the first time Indiana operators are hosting a High School Sports Digital Fundraiser. McDonald’s Owner/Operators in Ohio were the first to launch this fundraiser last year to support high school athletics in their communities.
“This is the first time all Greater Indiana area Owner/Operators have come together on one day to show our support for athletics in the communities we serve,” said McDonald’s Owner/Operator Jay Okayama. “Our hope is that the local communities will come out to support their high schools and help us make the High School Sports Digital Fundraiser Day a success throughout the state.”
