BEDFORD- The Bedford Federal Savings Bank Limestone Capital Half Marathon Expo is gearing up for another exciting year, and you won’t want to miss it. This free event occurs tonight, Friday, October 4th, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Milwaukee Depot on the corner of 14th and J Streets.
The expo is your one-stop shop for everything related to the race. Here, you can:
- Get your race number and pick up your bib
- Pick up your t-shirt if you pre-registered by 9/18
- Check out the course map. Kelly Smith will be available tonight to answer any questions you may have about the course.
- Check the new 10th-anniversary medals and awards.
- Grab-and-go refreshments will be provided, including fresh-popped popcorn, cupcakes, donuts, yogurt, trail mix, fruit jerky, energy gel packs, meat and cheese sticks, and much more.
- Pick up a race swag bag. This year’s theme is “Your Race, Your Bag, Your Way,”. You can stuff your bag your way!
This year’s expo adds a special touch by offering a shoe donation drive. Participants are encouraged to bring their gently used running shoes to benefit deserving organizations in Lawrence County. Becky’s Place, Men’s Warming Shelter, and the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County will distribute donated shoes.
Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a first-time participant, the Bedford Federal Savings Bank Limestone Capital Half Marathon and 5K Expo is a fun and informative event. Come pick up your race materials, get pumped for the race, and support a great cause!
