BLOOMINGTON—The Frank Southern Ice Arena, 2100 South Henderson Street, opens to the public on October 11. The first general admission public skating of the 2024-25 season will be held from 7 to 8 p.m.
General admission public skating takes place only during scheduled times. Public skating hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are subject to change; visit the ice arena calendar of events or call the Ice Information Hotline at 812-349-3741 for the weekend public skating schedule. General admission public skating times for Monday through Thursday are from noon until 2:30 p.m.
Admission to all public skating sessions is $6 per person, plus $3 for skate rental. Ages five years and younger are admitted free.
The annual Skate & Scare at the ice arena takes place Oct. 19 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. People of all ages are invited to come in costume, skate to spooky tunes, and visit the haunted locker room. Admission to Skate & Scare is $6 per person plus $3 for skate rental.
