Regina Christina “Chris” Runge-Osterman, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on August 8, 1942, to the late Heinz Bischoff and Theresa Bischoff. She met her late husband. Dave Osterman while in Germany, and they were married on February 1, 1969, in Seymour.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Chris enjoyed BINGO, scratching lottery tickets, and gardening. Most of all, she loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving to cherish Chris’ memory is her son, Michael (Michelle) Rhoades; her grandsons, David (Kate), Jonathan (Sarah), and Zachary (Whitley); great-grandchildren, Roselyn, Margaret, Evelyn, Joshua Coe, Linus, Lydia, Everett, and Zreya; and her sister, Margaret (Gustav) Hamburg.
Chris was preceded by her first husband, George Rhoades, her second husband, David Osterman, and her parents, Heinz and Theresa Bischoff.
Friends may visit with Chris’ family on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 605 S. Walnut Street, Seymour, Indiana, 47274. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, also at the church, with Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, Rev. Philip Bloch, Rev. James Rodreiguez, and Rev. William Fredstrom officiating. Private inurnment will take place at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at a later time.
