Compose your way to $10k IN Indiana

INDIANA—The Indiana Destination Development Foundation (IDDF) is inviting musicians across the state to channel their creativity into a musical jingle that captures the fun and excitement of Indiana. The grand prize will be $10,000.

To enter, contestants must be at least 18 years old and either residents, natives, or graduates of an Indiana institution of higher learning. All submissions must comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Musicians must submit their jingles by November 4, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Each individual can submit only one jingle, although they may also participate in an ensemble submission. Please note that companies are not eligible to submit.

Selection Process A panel will review all entries based on several criteria, including:

  • Alignment with the core pillars of the IN Indiana brand
  • Creative quality of the musical composition and lyrics
  • Versatility for multi-platform use
  • Originality

Submissions must include the phrase “IN Indiana,” be catchy and adaptable and portray the state positively. Additionally, all entries must be original works—no copyrighted material, AI-generated content, or parodies will be accepted.

Jingle Requirements A good jingle should:

  • Feature the phrase “IN Indiana”
  • Be informative, inviting, and inclusive while maintaining a fun tone
  • Reflect the character and charm of the state

The selected winner will be notified no later than December 6, 2024.

How to Submit Interested musicians can follow these steps to submit their jingles:

  1. Review and accept the Contest Rules and Regulations.
  2. Learn more about the IN Indiana brand by visiting the brand campaign website.
  3. Upload the jingle (30 seconds maximum) to SoundCloud or YouTube in one of the following formats: WAV, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC, or MP3.
  4. Complete the submission form on the website.

The winner will be required to provide separate music and vocal tracks. IDDF will retain exclusive ownership of all submissions unless rights are released to the contestant. Contestants must refrain from sharing their submissions on any platform until notified that IDDF’s rights have been released.
