MONROE CO. –The Monroe County Emergency Management Office will discontinue the 7:00 p.m. test for the monthly siren test held on the first Friday of each month until equipment upgrades are completed
The noon siren test will occur as usual on the first Friday of every month.
The temporary cancellation of the 7:00 p.m. monthly siren test goes into effect starting with the November 1 monthly siren test. Until further notice, the sirens will only be tested at Noon every month.
Once the equipment updates have been completed, the Emergency Management Agency will notify the public when the 7:00 p.m. siren test will commence.
