Nancy Rose Vaught East, 82, of Bedford, passed away Monday, November 4th, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born December 30, 1941, in Bedford, to Reed and Emma Vaught. She married Cecil East on September 15, 1964, in Bedford, and he preceded her in death on January 18, 2020. Nancy Rose graduated from Bedford High School. She was a bookkeeper and an avid IU fan. Nancy was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Nancy are her daughters, Cheryl (Todd)Taylor, Susan East, Rebecca (Jeremy) Lewis; one son, Michael (Marissa) East; Grandchildren, Lauren (Matt) Southern, Nicholas Kaufman, Will Taylor, Nathan Moore, Henry East, Harlan Lewis, Nancy Lewis, and Sloane East; Great Grandchildren, Archer Southern and Luna Southern.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Cecil East.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Nancy East on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Bedford with Father Jegan Peter and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation for Nancy will be Monday, November 11, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with the rosary being prayed at 6:00 p.m. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford.
Donations in memory of Nancy may be made to the Hope Resource Center in Bedford.
