BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence juniors Gibson Crane and Brady Byers were named to the All-Hoosier Hills Conference First Team by the league coaches.
Byers paced the Stars (2-9) with 10 quarterback sacks, and he totaled 75 tackles (with 25 for loss) while forcing two fumbles. Crane recorded 82 tackles (26 for loss) with 8 sacks.
The rest of the First Team included Columbus East’s Jared Brooks, Zach Foster, Keaton Lawson, Kyson Villarreal, Thomas Houpey, Jack Smith and Noah Hilderbrand; Floyd Central’s Isaac Kaiser, Sebastian Robertson, Matthew Polk, Will Brown and Wayde Jacobi; Jeffersonville’s Cam Holloway, Raijon Laird, Jaydon Berkley and Chance Johnson; Seymour’s Jaylan Johnson, Mason Nugent and Noah Broughton; New Albany’s Kenny Watson, Klay Kaiser and Jayden Farley; and Jennings County’s Rhett Burkman and Brandan McCory.
BNL’s Jaden Gilbert and Luke Morris were named Honorable Mention.
East’s Eddie Vogel was named league Coach of the Year as the Olympians won the conference title.
