Master Trooper Kent Roe

Like so many other ISP troopers right out of the academy, Roe spent his first three years assigned to the Lowell Post patrolling the interstates in the Lake County region. In 1987, he was transferred home to the Fort Wayne Post and has remained there ever since.

Master Trooper Roe has primarily patrolled Allen County over the course of his career but also served with the ISP Emergency Response Team II (SWAT) for eight years. In the early 90s, he was assigned to the High-Performance Vehicle program, where he patrolled in one of the department’s unmarked Ford Mustangs.

Master Trooper Roe remains assigned to patrol duties in Allen County. He and his wife, Debbie, have lived there for a long Time. They have three adult children and five grandchildren.

On behalf of Superintendent Doug Carter (also a graduate of the 42nd ISP Recruit Academy), we would like to congratulate and commend Master Trooper Roe for reaching this milestone achievement.  Thank you, Kent, for forty years of dedicated public service.
