Be someones hero this holiday season: Register for the 10th annual Becky’s Place Run for Hope

.BEDFORD- Don’t wait—register NOW for Becky’s Place Run for Hope 5K and change lives. Every step you take supports homeless and abused women and children in our community, giving them a chance to rebuild their futures. Time is running out, and spots are filling fast. This year’s goal is to raise $20,000; it will take all of us to get them there. Becky’s Place already has 157 registered to be a hometown hero to a woman or child in need.

The event will take place on November 27, beginning at 9 a.m. The race will start and finish in Downtown Bedford at the Downtown Depot.

Enjoy an electric atmosphere filled with music, friends, family, and snacks before and after the race at the start/finish line and while on the course. Race time is limited to 1.5 hours and will be timed by ABTiming.

Registration packets can be picked up at the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, November 27, from 12 pm to 6 pm or at the Downtown Depot on race day from 8 am to 8:45 am.

Becky’s Place serves women and children who are experiencing homelessness and are working toward a life of self-sufficiency. Their goal is to provide shelter and create hope while providing the support and services needed to help residents set and achieve goals, moving them toward education, employment, and permanent housing. In addition to providing safe shelter, they offer residents meals, case management, support services, counseling, educational resources, life skills, and a compassionate, dedicated staff.
