INDIANAPOLIS—Governor Eric J. Holcomb today announced that Jason C. Custer and Jeremy T. Musser have been appointed to the Allen County Superior Court and the Steuben County Circuit Court, respectively.
Jason Custer has served as Sr. Magistrate in the Allen Co. Superior Court since 2016, primarily handling misdemeanor and traffic cases. Prior to being appointed a magistrate judge, Custer served in the Allen County Prosecutors Office. He worked there on two occasions for a total of 14 ½ years and was also in private practice for 5 years. Custer received his Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University in 1997 and his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 1994. Custer will succeed Judge David Avery who is retiring at the end of the year.
Jeremy Musser currently serves as the Steuben County Prosecuting Attorney. Musser began with the prosecutor’s office following law school and has served as a deputy prosecutor, chief trial deputy and three times was elected as prosecutor. Musser attended Regent University School of Law in 2005 and he studied undergraduate at Indiana University, Fort Wayne and graduated in 2005. Musser, who was elected to the Circuit Court on November 5th, will be sworn in before January due to the death of Judge Allen Wheat earlier this year.
Custer and Musser will be sworn in as Judges on dates to be determined.
