The Lawrence County Commissioner signed a financial commitment letter to apply for federal aid to replace Bridge 107, a truss bridge located on Armstrong Station Road, just off State Road 58 west of Springville.

In November, the commissioners approved Sowder’s request to hire the Lochmueller Group to assist in securing federal aid for repairs. Sowder emphasized that this support is crucial for ensuring the federal funding necessary to address safety and structural concerns with Bridge 107.

The highway department received one bid for salt, one for asphalt, one for fuel, four for crushed stone, three for hot and cold mix, and two bids for new department trucks.
