BLOOMINGTON — A Bloomington man is behind bars after he was found with a 13-year-old female.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested 20-year-old Gabriel Hensley of Camby on charges of child molesting, a Level 3 felony, and possession of child pornography, a Level 6 felony.
Police began their investigation on Wednesday, December 4, after a family member of the female reported they walked into a room and found Hensley naked with the girl in the room. The girl told police Hensley had forced her to have sex with him on two occasions the night before. The female also informed police that Hensley had sent her sexual messages on Snapchat and Facebook before the sexual encounters. She also admitted to sending Hensley an explicit photo of herself.
Hensley denied the allegations.
Those facing criminal charges are considered innocent unless convicted through due legal proceedings. Accusations alone do not imply guilt; the judicial system will evaluate the presented evidence to reach a verdict.
