CROWN POINT – The Hard Hat Charity Golf Outing, hosted by the Northwest Indiana Business Round Table (NWIBRT), returned this fall for another successful year of fun and networking on the course while fundraising for local causes. This year’s event drew over 300 golfers from more than 70 prominent Northwest Indiana companies.
Participating companies in the 2024 event raised $40,000 in charitable contributions for four area nonprofits. Meals on Wheels, Tradewinds, Goodwill, and Pink Ribbon Society each received a $10,000 donation for their organization. The funds will be used for programming provided by the nonprofits for families and individuals throughout the region.
“In addition, the Lilly Endowment matched our $10,000 donation to Tradewinds, honoring the organization’s dedication to the community,” said Tom Gozdecki, co-chair of the 2024 NWIBRT Hard Hat Golf Committee. “That brings this year’s total from $40,000 to $50,000, the largest amount to date that we have raised through the charity golf outing. We are grateful for the Lilly Endowment, the Legacy Foundation which manages the donation, and all of the companies that support our community’s nonprofits in this effort.”
The event was organized by Diversified Marketing Strategies in Crown Point.
The 2025 Hard Hat Charity Golf Outing has been scheduled for September 19, 2025, at the White Hawk Country Club in Crown Point. NWIBRT members encourage participants to register early, as the event sells out quickly well in advance of the scheduled date. Early reservations can be made by calling NWIBRT at 219-226-0300.
