CenterPoint Energy introduces new Customer Assistance Fund to help Hoosiers pay bills

INDIANA – CenterPoint Energy has announced the launch of a new program to assist eligible Indiana customers with their utility bills.

The “Customer Assistance Fund” (CAF) will replace the previous Share the Warmth weatherization assistance program, providing much-needed financial support to customers facing hardship.

The CAF is designed to help income-qualifying customers by offering direct financial assistance to ease the burden of utility costs. CenterPoint Energy states that the program will focus on meeting the needs of customers struggling to pay their bills due to financial challenges.

Eligible customers can apply for assistance once during the calendar year, with the option to reapply at the start of each new year.

Customers are encouraged to visit CenterPoint Energy’s CAF page for more information on the Customer Assistance Fund and details on how to apply.
