Edwin O. Hudson, 93, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at his residence.
Born April 19, 1931, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Daniel F. and Eva M. (Umphress) Hudson. He married Brenda E. Taylor in June of 1955, and she preceded him in death on June 4, 2018. He was an operator and mill worker in the stone industry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving for 33 years. He was a member of the Gillen Post #33 American Legion and the Retired Enlisted Association (TREA).
Survivors include four children, Cheryl E. Henderson and husband, Charles, of Bedford; Keith R. Hudson and wife, Sherri, of Toledo, OH; Michael E. Hudson, of Norman, OK, and Randy J. Hudson, of Moore, OK; 6 grandchildren, Jeremy Fulk, Robert Caraway, Mark Caraway, Barbara Hudson, Cody Hudson, and Brandy Martin; 6 great-grandchildren, Zachary and Alexandria Fulk, Luke and Eva Held, Willow Caraway, and Ellis Hudson; one brother, Herschel L. Hudson, and wife, Lynn, of Cheyenne, WY. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a daughter, Denise Michelle Caraway; four brothers, Marvin E., Robert F., Myron T. and Gerry Dean Hudson; a sister, Barbara J. Wheeler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 21 st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with military rites accorded by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Burial will follow in the Mundell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
