Master Gardener course open for registration

BLOOMINGTON — Purdue Extension is hosting a 14-week Master Gardener Basic Training Course. The course will take place every Wednesday from January 22nd to April 23rd, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Monroe County Extension Office, located at 3400 S Walnut St., Bloomington, IN.

The course will cover a variety of topics, including plant science, soils, plant nutrition, lawn care, animal pests, herbaceous ornamentals, pesticide safety, pesticide alternatives, invasive species, insect ID and control, weed ID and control, woody ornamentals, fruit gardening, and vegetable gardening.

The cost of the course is $185, which includes all materials. Interested individuals can contact Extension at krappold@purdue.edu for an application.
