WASHINGTON — Daviess Community Hospital welcomed two new officers to its police department during a swearing-in ceremony on Monday, December 9. The ceremony marked the official addition of Jacob Gambill and Robert Smith to the hospital’s security team.
Jacob Gambill, a new part-time officer, joins DCH with prior law enforcement experience, having previously served with the Worthington Police Department in Greene County. Robert Smith, the hospital’s newest full-time officer, brings a wealth of law enforcement experience from Sullivan County.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by DCH Police Chief Caleb Lankford, Officer Johnny Lagle, and several hospital leaders, who were present to congratulate the new officers and formally welcome them to their roles.
Chief Lankford expressed confidence that both Gambill and Smith will bring valuable skills and experience to the hospital’s police department, ensuring the continued safety and security of the Daviess Community Hospital campus and its patients.
