FBI tip leads to possession of child pornography charges

WASHINGTON – A Washington man was arrested on Thursday, December 19, on charges of possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography after local police received a tip from the FBI.

On December 18, the FBI Bloomington Office contacted the Washington Police Department’s Detective Division regarding the investigation into a man in possession of child sexual abuse material.

In the early morning of Thursday, December 19, Washington Police detectives, officers, FBI agents, and Knock County High Teck Crime Unit searched a search warrant at a home on Northeast 18th Street.

After serving the search warrant, police arrested Andrew L. Wagler, 36, of Washington.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
