Indiana State Police seek public’s help in locating missing Bloomfield woman, marking 10 years since disappearance

BLOOMFIELD— The Indiana State Police Bloomington Post is renewing its call for information regarding the disappearance of Marina Boelter, an 18-year-old woman from Bloomfield, who went missing nearly a decade ago. As the 10th anniversary of her disappearance approaches in January 2025, authorities continue to investigate the case actively and are asking the public for assistance.

Boelter was last seen on December 31, 2014, around 6 p.m. near the IGA parking lot on US 231 south of Bloomfield. Her co-workers reported her missing the following day, January 1, 2015, when she failed to show up for her shift at work. Despite extensive efforts, Boelter has not been seen or heard from since that evening in 2014.

At the time of her disappearance, Boelter was last observed wearing pink and white Nike shoes and a cross necklace. Authorities have continued to follow leads, but her whereabouts remain unknown.

The Indiana State Police urges anyone with information about Boelter’s disappearance to come forward. Detective Kent Rohfling of the Bloomington Post leads the investigation and can be contacted at 812-332-4411. Additionally, tips can be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477.

Boelter’s family and friends have been waiting for answers for nearly a decade, and authorities hope the public may hold key information that could bring closure to the case. The Indiana State Police remains committed to finding Marina and uncovering her disappearance’s circumstances.
