Southern Indiana remains under winter storm warning

LAWRENCE CO. – Southern and South Central Indiana remains under a winter storm warning until 7:00 p.m. this evening.

Heavy mixed precipitation with additional snow accumulations between one and three inches or more of additional accumulation is expected. Winds will gust as high as 35 miles per hour.

The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Significant ice accumulation on power lines and tree limbs may cause widespread and long-lasting power outages,

Hazardous conditions could impact Monday morning and evening commutes.

Tuesday will be partly sunny, with a high near 30 and light northwest wind.

The next chance of snow is on Friday. There is a 30 percent chance of snow after 1:00 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 27 degrees with a light south-southeast wind. On Friday night, there is a 40 percent chance of snow, mostly cloudy, with a low of around 16 with calm winds.
