Grant supporting rural older adult behavioral health

INDIANA – The Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction is granting funds to providers able to bill for Medicare Part B services to support rural older adults’ behavioral health. The purpose of this grant is to engage rural older adults living with serious mental illness in services that support what matters to them through Community Health Workers and/or Certified Peer Support Professionals.

The target population for the grant is adults 60 years and older with SMI living in rural counties. Individuals to be served will include those enrolled in fee-for-service Medicare Part B, including partial dual-eligible beneficiaries.

Anticipated RFF Timeline:

  • Applications Open: Jan. 6, 2025
  • Questions Due: Feb. 7, 2025
  • Questions Posted to eCivis: Feb. 14, 2025
  • Applications Due: March 3, 2025
  • Notification of Award Sent: March 14, 2025
  • Contract Start: July 1, 2025
