Cathy Lynn Hughett, 66, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at her residence.
Born November 30, 1958, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Kenneth Johnson and Virginia (Donica) Grissom.
Cathy married Brian Scott Hughett on September 30, 2000, and he survives. Cathy was a Bedford North Lawrence graduate with the class of 1977.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Cathy is her husband, Brian Scott Hughett; stepdaughter, Brittany S. Hughett, of Bedford; two sisters, Betty (Clifford) Grissom, of Mitchell, and Linda Gregory, of Bedford; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Johnson and Virginia (Donica) Grissom, and two brothers, Larry Lee and Terry Lee.
Funeral services for Cathy will be on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford, with Frank Ira officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation for Cathy will be held Monday, January 13, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and from Noon until the time of service on Tuesday, also at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel in Bedford.
